| The most exciting DH racing was seen at Fort William this year. Steve Peat stormed over the line to beat Greg Minnar by over two seconds. Also, Tracy Moseley toped the podium with the only womens time under 5 minutes followed by Rachel Atherton in second.
In the 4x Gee Atherton was unlucky as his chain snapped and wraped around his front wheel in the final, yet he still managed to coast into third place. |

| This year saw the addition of a large grandstand to acommadate the large crowd at the bottom of the downhill and 4x tracks. As usual many rides entered the arena with flat tires due to the punnishing course. The track was packed from top top bottom despite the scottish drizzel at the start. |  |
