Marzocchi Junior-T

"The guys used to make forks for Ducati race bikes, what more could you ask for? Performance and Italian style!"

The Jnr-T's offer up 7 inches of buttery smooth travel in impeccable Italian style. With only external pre-load controls, the Jnr-T's are not the most easily adaptable fork, but they offer a good range of dampening and the SSVF (Speed Sensitive Valving) is a deffinate plus. The forks have internaly adjustable rebound which I personally have never played with. The forks do not feature compression dampening and the only range of adjustment is really the spring weight and oil weight. I weigh 75 kg and the compression is possibly slightly on the low side and the preload adjusters are wound right off for me to achieve ideal sag. I think changing the stock oil to a slightly heavier one and getting a lighter spring would solve my problems. The fork has reasonable small bump response (greatly improved over older models without the SSVF valving) and munches up big hits effortlessly. As you would expect from Marzocchi reliability really is top-notch and servicing is straight forward for all you budding mechanics. Marzocchi have done their best to limit the technology they've thrown at this fork which shows in it's cheap price and reliability - there really is nothing to go wrong with them, and at £350 their an absolute steal! If your looking for a capable, lightweight cheap downhill/freeride fork look no further. However, for those of you looking for a bit more technology and performance for racing the Super-T's at £500 are probably a better option with the same advantages but uprated internals.
