Michelin's reputation for world class downhill tyres is not blemished in any way with this tyre in their fleet. The 2.2" or 2.5"(tested) treads are super grippy and the strong side walls leave nothing to chance.Grip on the trail is impeckable as you can feel the grip they are producing. Braking is also imporved as the traction is high letting you brake later before corners.
This tyre can also be run tubelss which can only be an advantage. In tubeless form I have not suffered from any air-leak even when run at low pressures.
I have had some reports of the difficulty of getting the tyres over and onto the rims but abit of washing-up liquid lets it slip over into place (they were far easier to get on than the continental tubeless tyres).

It is no wonder why Michelins grace most racing bikes as they are superior to any other tyre brand I have tried.
